Why You Should Listen To Your Doubts About Jewellery Redesign

….And What Your Doubts May Actually Mean

Here at Legacy, we never underestimate the importance and complicated emotions surrounding the decision to reimagine your inherited jewellery.

Inheriting jewellery can feel like a huge privilege. But, not being able to wear your inherited jewellery, or not knowing what to do with your treasured pieces can be quite devastating. The decision is bound together with so many memories, so much history, love and of course loss.

For some, the decision to get started on a Legacy experience is part of their grieving process. For those ladies, Legacy is part of healing. Being able to wear a piece imbued with so many memories of a dearly missed loved one is an important part of coming to terms with loss and moving on with life.

For others, it can take months, or often years to come through the grieving process and be ready to start a Legacy experience.

If your jewellery is inherited and your loved one is missed and cherished every day, then having mixed feelings about redesigning their once beloved jewellery into a new Legacy piece is completely understandable.

Listen to Your Doubts

So, our advice is if you are in doubt. If you have a niggling concern about your design or reimagining your inherited jewellery in any way, then listen. Your doubts may well be trying to tell you to take a little more time.

Of course, Legacy is a new experience for many, so having a few butterflies or feeling slightly nervous is very normal. Our team can answer any questions you have, or indeed put you in touch with previous clients so you can ask questions about their personal Legacy experience. If at any point your nerves become strong doubts and anxiety, then we would encourage you to re-think.

There is no rule book on when the time is right. If and when you are ready, then the Legacy journey is exciting, enjoyable and often hugely emotional. The team here at Legacy do everything possible to make your unique journey an incredibly wonderful one.

If you’re not ready, then that’s fine too.

If we sense that perhaps you are not ready, we will have that conversation with you at the design stage. And please rest assured, it is not unusual. There is no set timeframe for being ready.

There is no right or wrong. There is just right for you.

If you would like to speak to us about a possible Legacy journey, having an open discussion about whether this is going to be right for you, then please get in touch. There is never any pressure from us. This is an experience we want you to love from the off.
